OFICINA – Escola Profissional do Instituto Nun’Alvres, in Portugal, is a private school that operates with financial support from the government. It is located in a semi-rural area, circa 4 kilometres from a town called Santo Tirso. It is a professional school that currently has 5 different courses (Audiovisuals, Multimedia, Computing, 3D and Marketing - secondary level). The school has around 340 students, 28 teachers (the majority are external teachers) and 7 staff members.
The school is situated in the Vale do Ave region, a region that is gravely affected by unemployment, as its main activity was related to the textile industry. Therefore, with the bankruptcy and closing of a large number of factories and businesses, the majority of the students' families were somewhat Hence, for the past few years, around 60% of the students have applied or are benefitting from some sort of financial aid. OFICINA has got film production, Multimedia and Web design as its core areas.

The expertise in training film techniques from camera shooting to film cut and audio editing is essential for the project because of the quality of the film materials that will be created throughout the whole project to present many of the results that we aim to achieve as most of them will be disseminated via the WebTV that was created in previous project and is now implemented and functioning within all the participating schools (examples of this are: the best of videos where we get an overview of the LTTAs and all the activities; the evaluation videos where students and teachers evaluate all the initiatives; the website where the whole project will be accessible; a YouTube channel to store all the video content, among other video-related content).

The school will also be responsible for the creation of the outcome and the graphic content within it, namely the aforementioned official website. Most of the teachers that will participate in the project beside the project coordinator are also professionals in the areas of Multimedia, web design and audiovisuals, having worked in and with TV channels or having their own company in the said areas. Other teachers will be prompt to participate, namely the teachers that have in their curricula Europe-related content so as to strengthen the content with the help of the participating students who will be asked to create presentations and assist in lessons for their peers using the knowledge and insight acquired with the participation in the project.

Moreover, there is an understated objective our school intends to achieve related to the lack of knowledge and identity towards European values among young students who lack the knowledge to understand the historical background that lead to the existing European cooperation, which even more pressing in a time of the Brexit and other countries showing signs of wanting to leave the EU. affected.
